Resiliência

Initiative recognized in the “Climate Leadership” category at the 2025 MUDAR Awards

ResiliêncIA is an initiative founded by Ensina Brasil Network alumni that connects technology, science, and public policy to strengthen climate action at the local level.

The organization works by training municipal managers and public leaders in the development of Local Climate Action Plans, offering tools, data, and methodologies that support more strategic and evidence-based decisions.

With a focus on environmental justice, social inclusion, and climate adaptation, the initiative seeks to support municipalities in building more effective and resilient policies, especially in territories and communities most vulnerable to the impacts of the climate crisis.

Hey Ciência

Founded by alumnus João Bosco and winner of the Shell Science Education Award in 2020, Hey Ciência is a program created to spark students’ scientific curiosity and bring science closer to everyday life.

The initiative seeks to make scientific knowledge more accessible, interesting, and easy to understand, translating complex concepts into clear and engaging content. Through educational materials and learning experiences, the project encourages students to explore the world of science, develop critical thinking, and expand their interest in scientific knowledge.

English for All

Initiative recognized in the “Innovation in English Teaching” category at the 2025 MUDAR Awards

English for All is a non-profit organization founded by Ensina Brasil Network alumni.

The initiative connects students and teachers from different countries to strengthen English language learning, promote intercultural exchanges, and generate a positive impact on local communities. Through virtual exchange programs, the organization creates opportunities for global relationships and personal development through language learning.

Banco dos Miguéis

Created in 2022 by alumnus Wellington Almeida, Banco dos Miguéis was born as an innovative way to increase student engagement at the Miguel Gomes de Lima Municipal School. The initiative uses financial education and gamification through its own social currency—the Miguéis—to teach concepts such as environmental responsibility and financial organization in a practical and fun way.

Even after Wellington left the school, the project remained active thanks to the engagement of teachers and students. Today, it is led by Lorraine Del Puppo, also an Ensina Brasil Network alumna.

Inspired by the results of the initiative, six other schools have already adopted their own social currencies, expanding the project’s impact.

Primeiramente Equidade

Initiative recognized in the “Commitment to Equity” category at the 2025 MUDAR Awards

Founded by 4 Ensina Brasil Network alumni, the initiative is based on three central principles. The first is to place equity as the starting point for educational public policies.

The second is the conviction that there are no ready-made solutions for education challenges, and that the most consistent paths are built in a collective, intentional, and collaborative way, based on listening and coordination between different actors.

Finally, the work is guided by the commitment to maintain a close eye on the contexts, trajectories, and learning of people, organizations, and public bodies, recognizing that lasting transformations only happen when they respect the complexity of territories and experiences.
