A journey built on networks and momentum
Our story began in 2017 with the Ensina Trainee program, the heart of our work. Since then, we have directly impacted more than 330,000 students, reached millions more indirectly, and built a network of over 1,000 leaders across Brazil.
Starting in 2025, we will expand our reach to develop and connect leaders from the classroom to public administration, introducing two new programs: Lampiar and Impulso. After all, if we want all children to have a quality education one day, we need leaders working in a coordinated way across multiple fronts of the education ecosystem.
Ensina Brasil is part of a global network created in 2007, Teach For All. It was founded by one of the world’s leading social entrepreneurs, Wendy Kopp, to expand the successful Teach For America model (founded in 1990 in the United States) to other countries.
