FAQ
Frequently asked questions and their answers!!
-
Is the work paid?
Yes, the work is paid. Since the program is part of a public policy and your hiring will be done directly by partner governments, compensation follows the hiring conditions of the partner network, always being equivalent to the salary of an entry-level teacher with the same workload in that network. It is worth noting that Ensinas are placed in cities with a cost of living compatible with the salary. Salaries range between R$3,100 and R$6,000, depending on the partner network.
-
Is the Leadership Development Program for me?
The Leadership Development Program is the best path for you if you want to generate a positive impact and feel that your work makes a difference for society, getting hands-on to create solutions for the Brazilian public education ecosystem. For bachelor’s degree holders who do not yet have experience in education, it is a professional opportunity beyond the traditional possibilities presented during your training.
-
During the program, will I be an employee of Ensina Brasil?
No. You will be an employee of the partner governments of Ensina Brasil, hired as a full-time temporary teacher. Ensina Brasil supports your participation through monitoring and training but does not have an employment relationship with you.
-
Do I need a teaching degree to participate?
No! Bachelor’s degree holders are very welcome in our Selection Process. The only difference is that, in addition to participating in the Program and taking on classroom activities, a bachelor’s holder must complete a Pedagogical Complement (teaching certification for bachelor’s holders) within the program period.
-
How will I be a teacher if I have never taught before?
We have an intensive training program for your preparation, and you will have the support of our Pedagogical Tutoring (professionals responsible for the training of our Ensinas). Furthermore, the subject taught will always be related to your background. However, it is crucial that the participant wants to learn constantly and is prepared to dedicate significant energy to planning lessons, building bonds, and interacting and collaborating with students and the school community.
-
Where can I find materials about the selection process and the leadership development program?
You can find tips on how to prepare, powerful stories from our leaders, and materials to help with questions in our Candidate Guide.
